Maria Pohn-Lauggas is a junior professor for Multimethod Social Research at the Georg-August-University Göttingen.

Her research focuses on:

• Methodological and methodical combination of knowledge-sociological discourse analysis (R.Keller) and social-constructivist biographical research (G. Rosenthal) with picture analysis (R. Breckner)
• oral and visual practices of remembering
• National Socialism and memory
• Intergenerational transmission processes
• Processes of biographical construction and intergenerationality in and with photographs
